Owen Da Gama Scared For Top 8 Hopes This Season! TS Galaxy failed to gain entrance into the top 8 after the last matchday.

The Rockets suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Golden Arrows midweek. Head coach Owen Da Gama has warned his players that their top 8 hopes are growing slim.

Goals from Michael Gumede, Ntsako Makhubela and Pule Mmodi sealed a comfortable victory for Mandla Ncikazi’s team.

The top 8 is still within the grasp of TS Galaxy. Fortunately for them, their hopes are in their own hands.

“We can’t perform like this and expect to be in the top eight.” Da Gama explained to the media.

“No ways. We’ve got to defend better.

“Once we defend well, we’ve got a chance to win. We’ve proven it because we will always create.

“Unfortunately, today we didn’t create much. We also defended very poorly.

“You can’t expect anything out of the game if you defend like that,” the coach stressed.

The Rockets have three matches left, compared to the two that Baroka FC has left. They will need to secure positive results in their last three matches to qualify for next season’s MTN 8.

“We’ve just got to try and go back to our drawing board and fix our mistakes and see how we can move forward. There’s work to be done and we will apply ourselves as much as possible,” he added.

TS Galaxy will now have to wait until the 30^th of May to play their next DSTV Premiership clash. They host Orlando Pirates at the Mbombela Stadium.
