Al Ahly drew 1-1 against Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of their CAF Champions League final. They have won the competition for a record extending 11th time now.

The first leg of this steamy encounter ended 2-1, in favour of the Egyptians. Wydad took a first half led thanks to Yahya Attiat Allah.
This put the Moroccans in the driver’s seat, thanks to the away goal rule. However, defender Mohamed Abdelmonem equalised on the night for Al Ahly to give them the lead in the tie.
Eventually, this was enough to guarantee continental success for Al Ahly and Percy Tau, who scored in the first leg.
“We are very happy to see Percy doing well. We obviously missed him [at Bafana] when he was going through his injury issues,” Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams spoke, as per FARPost.
“And we are just happy to have a fully fit Percy Tau. Because on his day he is a game-changer and a match-winner.
“So, we are happy for him. We congratulated him and are very proud of him. Hopefully, he can come this week and have a brilliant game for us.
“Playing at that level is highly important. Because you get to experience the tactics they use and there’s a lot that come with playing in Africa,” added Williams.
“It’s not just the game itself but there’s a lot that happens off the felid, the traveling, the atmosphere. They try to make it very tough for you.” He spoke.
