PSL players have some of the most rigorous schedules in the South African workforce. With extremely tight training regiment, 2 games a week and stringent diet plans, PSL players are always on the move.
The only little bit of family time players have is on holidays and international weekends, if players aren’t participating. The only other time is when players retire.
After retirement, some players prefer spending time with their family. They continue to earn a living through other means that are not football related. Other players join punditry and become football analysts.
Other players extend their football nous into management. This is also another job that keeps them from their families. So, it’s not something that is taken lightly.
