Reneilwe Letsholonyane Retires From Football At The Age Of 39! The former Bafana Bafana midfielder has called time on his magnificent career.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane has called it quits on his 15 year playing career. Yeye was released by club side TS Galaxy at the end of last season, after a meagre season on his behalf.

Despite this, Letsholonyane enjoyed a terrific season in PSL football. He soared the highest heights that South African football has to offer.’

Yeye represented Jomo Cosmos, Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United and TS Galaxy in the DSTV Premiership. In this time, he won a host of trophies in his playing time.

The most sparkling time in the career of Letsholonyane came when he was playing for Kaizer Chiefs. He joined the Phefeni Glamour Boys in 2008 from Jomo Cosmos.

He only made his professional debut two years prior to that as a 24 year old. He would go ahead to spend 8 trophy laden years with Chiefs.

His accolades with the team include 2 PSL titles, 2 MTN 8 trophies, 2 Telkom Knockout trophies, a single Nedbank Cup win and much more.

He joined SuperSport United in 2016. There, under former Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, he won the Nedbank Cup and MTN 8 once more.

Letsholonyane then left to join newly promoted Highlands Park. There he played under Owen De Gama.

Highlands Park then sold their PSL status to NFD side TS Galaxy. Yeye was part of the players who transferred to The Rockets.

He only made 11 appearances for TS Galaxy this season. All of them from the bench.

Internationally, Letsholonyane made 50 appearances for Bafana Bafana. He was part of the 2010 FIFA World Cup squad, where he featured in all three group games.

His part in Siphiwe Tshabalala’s opening goal will always be remembered. As well as his participation in the famous celebration.
