Thapelo Morena Expected Difficult Game Against Maritzburg United! The Brazilians tackled The Team of Choice this weekend.

Mamelodi Sundowns visit Maritzburg United in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday. Full back Thapelo Morena had braced himself for an extremely hard team from which to claim victory.

The visitors were brimming in confidence after their last two matches. They defeated African champions Al Ahly 1-0 away from home in the CAF Champions League and beat TS Galaxy 3-0 at the Mbombela Stadium in the league on Wednesday night.

They had the opportunity to go one step closer to what seems like a very likely league triumph. They had to get the better of their hosts last night to make this happen.

Masandawana drew in Pietermaritzburg in the same fixture last season.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game for us.” He told the Mamelodi Sundowns media in preview of the match at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

“Usually when we go to Maritzburg we are going to have to fight for everything. The most important thing for us as a team is that we have a process and that we are following our process, we take every game the way it comes.

“Going into the game we want to carry over the aggression, the hard work and the willingness to play. We created good chances and scored good goals, so that is the most important thing we want to take.”

“We want to be able to convert the chances we create. We know they are going to play a very transitional game so; we really need to be spot on when it comes to our counter-pressing and dealing with those situations like we did in the previous game.” He added.
