Tswane Derby Headlines Nedbank Cup Last-32 Draw

The Nedbank Cup Last 32 fixtures have now been revealed, as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns received the toughest draws of South Africa’s big three clubs of the Nedbank Cup’s last-32 round at the draw conducted in Sandton on Thursday night.

Pirates are at home against Bidvest Wits‚ while Sundowns are also at home‚ meeting SuperSport United in a Tshwane Derby.

Polokwane City and Baroka FC were two other PSL teams drawn against each other in a Limpopo derby.

The Nedbank Cup is made up of 32 teams, with 16 coming from the Absa Premiership, eight from the GladAfrica Championship and eight from the ABC Motsepe League.

The draw was not seeded, with last season’s losing finalists and current Absa Premier League log leaders Kaizer Chiefs facing a tricky last-32 outing against GladAfrica Championship team Royal Eagles.

Defending champions TS Galaxy, who famously defeated Kaizer Chiefs in the final, will began their defence against last season’s semi-finalists Chippa United.

Dates and venues for the Last 32 fixtures will be announced by the Premier Soccer League at a later stage.
