Two Ex-Pirates Players Among Six Signings Unveiled By Sekhukhune United
Sekhukhune United have unveiled six signings ahead of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season. Linda Mntambo who was recently announced an exit at Orlando Pirates has moved to Babina Noko permanently while his counterpart Tshegofatso Mabasa joins the same club on loan from the Buccaneers.
The other four players that were presented as Sekhukhune signings along with the Pirates duo are Denwin Farmer, Train Tshepo Mokhabi, Abednego Mosiatlhaga. Sekhukhune is one of the other Premier Soccer League clubs that are in the process of squad overhaul after they let go of many players just after the end of the previous season.

Farmer (25), from Gqeberha, joins the Club from Baroka FC. He is a versatile player that enjoys playing centre or left side of defence. He has previously played for SuperSport United and Maritzburg United, respectively. He was also part of the South Africa National under-23 team at the 2015 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations held in Senegal.
Mosiatlhaga (27), joins Babina Noko from Cape Town Spurs F.C. He finished as the top goalscorer in the 2019/20 GladAfrica Championship League season with 18 goals for Cape Town Spurs (then known as Ajax Cape Town).
Mntambo (33), started his football career with Roses United. After a season with them, he joined Jomo Cosmos. Mntambo spent 5 seasons with Ezenkosi, later joining Chippa United and Orlando Pirates respectively. He has one cap for the Senior national team.
Mabasa (25), born in Botshabelo, Free State. Started his career with Bloemfontein Celtic. He made his first-team debut during the 2014 Telkom Knockout encounter with AmaZulu, before joining Orlando Pirates in 2019. Mabaso has represented South Africa at the senior level, winning his first cap during the 2018 African Nations qualifier against Zambia on 19 August 2017. He has also featured for the South
Africa under-23 team.
Mokwana (22), joins Babina Noko as a winger after enjoying a great season with Platinum City Rovers during their maiden appearance in the GladAfrica championship.
Mokhabi (27), born in Thabong, Free State (Left Winger) joins the club from Baroka FC. Sekhukhune United Football Club welcomes Farmer, Mosiatlhaga, Mntambo, Mabasa, Mokwana and Mokhabi to the Babina Noko Family.
The club has commenced with pre-season training ahead of the new season.

Now the on-loan Pirates striker has promised to bang in goals for the Limpopo-based club. “It’s an honour to be part of this growing club,” he told the club’s media department. “What the supporters can expect from me is definitely dedication and scoring goals as well and most importantly for me to enjoy my football.
“I am grateful to the chairman for the opportunity he has given me and the warm welcome I have received from the other players, the technical team and the coaches. I have enjoyed it so much. What the supporters can expect from us this season like we have been saying, turning our loses into draws, our draws to wins and achieve more wins going into the new season and finish as high as possible in the league,” he added.
