BIG MATCH FEATURE: Orlando Pirates vs. SuperSport United! Both sides have enjoyed relatively good starts to the season.
Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer and assistant coach Fadlu Davids are yet to lose against Pretoria based opposition.
Even though Pirates are unbeaten so far in the season, it is SuperSport United who are sitting higher on the table.
Matsatsantsa have lost once and won their other two games this season. They sit 4th on the infant PSL season with 6 points.
Pirates drew against AmaZulu and Stellenbosch before registering their first win against Bloemfontein Celtic. This was a win that saw Pirates lose talismanic Thembinkosi Lorch for 5 weeks.
Orlando Pirates currently sit 6th on the table with 5 points. One point behind SuperSport.
“It’s a game that most players look forward to, it’s going to be tough as they have strengthened their team and look solid, I’m sure the technical team will come up with a solid game plan for us to win the game,” Ronwen Williams told the club website.
Williams exclaims that the club are not obsessed with their failure to retain the MTN 8 Cup.
“We can’t dwell on our Cup exit, yes we were unlucky to retain our title but there is so much more to play for, and this should be a learning curve for the team,” he said.
“Every match is important, we strive to achieve maximum points at all times, and we had a good start to the league and must keep that going.
“We must also focus on taking one match at a time, plant the seeds each and every day,” the club captain concluded.
