Orlando Pirates’ Kamogelo Sebelebele Back in Action as Team Prepares for PSL Second Half

Orlando Pirates winger Kamogelo Sebelebele, who started the 2025/26 season like a house on fire, is back in contention after missing several weeks due to injury. The Soweto giants have resumed preparations for the second half of the season, setting up camp in Rustenburg, North West, before returning to Johannesburg to finalise training.
Sebelebele has been sidelined since October last year but has now recovered and is training with the squad. He has been a vital part of Pirates’ campaign in his maiden season, scoring three goals in 14 appearances. Notably, he scored in both legs of the MTN semi-final against Mamelodi Sundowns, helping the team secure the trophy.
Joining the squad in Rustenburg is versatile wingback Kamogelo Sebelebele, who adds depth and pace to the team’s attacking options. New signing Andre De Jong, who arrived from Stellenbosch FC, is also part of the travelling squad. De Jong doubles as an attacking midfielder and provides an additional option in attack alongside Evidence Makgopa, Boitumelo Radiopane, Yanela Mbuthuma, and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
Orlando Pirates currently top the PSL log, with nine wins from 12 games. Their next fixture is against Sekhukhune United on 24 January. The return of Sebelebele strengthens the squad’s attacking options as Pirates aim to maintain their lead and finish the season strongly under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
