PSL CEO Brand de Villiers: We Are Very Proud Of Orlando Pirates
The Premier Soccer League’s Chief Executive Officer, Brand de Villiers has given praise to Orlando Pirates for progressing to the semi-finals in the CAF Confederation Cup. Pirates managed to secure a place after they beat AC Leopards 2-0 on Saturday. The Buccaneers need to beat Zamalek in their last group encounter in order for them to have the top spot.
During press conference, de Villiers gave praise to Pirates and their achievements so far but he made them aware that there is still a long way to go before they reach the finish line.
“Olrando Pirates have done the PSL and the country proud during their CAF Confederations Cup campaign and we would like to congratulate their chairman, management, coaching staff under Eric Tinkler, the players and supporters for this great achievement. of course there is still work to do in the semis by the players but we also need to celebrate this moment and applaud their tenacity” he said.
“As the League, we have always backed our clubs to do well in continental championships because the experience gained benefits not only them but also the country. We have to rally behind them to go all the way,” he added.
